The Affordable Housing Alliance is a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation in NJ. The Alliance has been serving residents of NJ for over 22 years. In addition to providing affordable housing, the Alliance manages several Utility Assistance Programs.
We help individuals and families who are seeking relief in paying their gas, electric, and oil bills, assisting clients through the entire application process, from program selection through the final grant award.
The new LIHEAP season has started! We are currently accepting applications. We will be available every Wednesday at Toms River thanks to our partnership with The FoodBank of Ocean and Monmouth County.

Temporary Relief of Utility Expense(TRUE) is the continuation of the former TRUE program. TRUE will continue to assist low to moderate income families in New Jersey pay their utility bills. Note, a single household may qualify to receive both TRUE and Page award within a 12 month period with at least 60 days between program awards.
